Special Feature
: Introducing the 245 Female Vocalists of the Divas of the moment 2020.
Hilde Vanhove is an undiscovered Belgian singer of great talent, currently working in the Netherlands.
On this 2016 album, she sings confidently and unwaveringly with the breathtaking support of Johan Clement Trio, pianist also from Belgium and active in the Netherlands.
Her mature and warm voice in the title track "Imagine" shines as her own unique personality.

"Jazz singer Hilde Vanhove is a trained and accomplished pianist, which endows her singing with a harmonic sense lacking in most singers. She sings with a soulful and fresh touch which is quite delightful. She has a warm and delicate voice, a sober way of interpreting the standard repertoire and an approach to vocal jazz which represents a nice change from vocal acrobatics and mawkisch performances."

Hilde Van Hove has given several concerts and already recorded some albums earlier, but "Insense"
is her first CD with international potential. She is accompanied by what she describes as a "
dream team": Michel Herr (p,arr), Bert Joris (tp), Hein Van De Geyn (b), Billy Hart (dr). The repertoire includes jazz standards, but also some modern carefully chosen surprises, such as "Iris" composed by Wayne Shorter (played by Miles on E.S.P.). Hilde Van Hove will be interviewed live during "Jazz" this monday, september 29th.
